In the world of travel blogging, there are a few stand out names that really take the cake for getting their message of adventure known to all. Infact, prior to blogging myself, the only travel blogger i had ever heard of were the likes of World of Wanderlust who i discovered via friends ‘liking’ them on facebook.
It wasn’t until i really sunk my teeth into my blog that i came across the never ending community of like minded bloggers with a common passion for travel.
It was then that i came to know some of the most adventurous and passionate bloggers that have become my ‘go to’ when i am in need of a little travel-inspiration. I seem to stumble upon new accounts everyday and am forever amazed by each individual story that lies behind the aesthetically pleasing layout of their travel stories. When it comes to blogger on the rise, these five blogs have quickly become my favourites.
So here it is,
5 travel blogs you may not know, but should
1. Ellen Burne at Travelling The World Solo
Ellen is a travel blogger from Adeliade, South Australia with a passion for solo-travel. I love her unique style of writing and how she will always give you the ‘low down’ at the end of each post. Ellen’s blog is inspiring, easy to navigate and most importantly, real. Travelling The World Solo provides tips from 5 continents and is home to thousands of incredible holiday snaps. If you’re considering travelling SOLO, Ellen’s blog is the perfect fit for you.
2. Phoebe Lee from Little Grey Box
When I first came across Phoebe’s blog I was both inspired and encouraged. Not only has she established a successful travel blog and turned it into her full time job, but she explains, honestly, the trials and hardships that she has faced in doing so. Her honest and raw posts create the illusion that you are speaking with her personally, which I believe is what makes her blog so successful. Check out LGB on instagram
3. Adriana Jennings from Golden Hour Girl
Travel and Lifestyle blogger from The Northern Beaches of Sydney. Golden Hour Girl is a blog capturing the best moment of each day, the golden hour. Adriana is in her early twenties and created her blog while living overseas in London. Adriana has a strong passion for travel, the ocean and summer. Her Instagram is a collection of brightly coloured images from around the world and will quickly make you want to re-locate to the beach (if you do not already live there).
4. Skye Gilkson from The Fit Traveller
Journalist, photographer, traveller and former personal trainer, Skye Gilkson is a woman of many talents. From Bondi, Sydney, Skye has established an incredibly popular blog and community of people aspiring to a life of health and wellness. With travel stories from all over the world, The Fit Traveller has become a place i continually find myself browsing for inspiration, encouragement and the reminder that when you put your mind to it, you really can achieve anything.
5. Austin and Kyra from Wayward & Weary
The photography of Wayward & Weary is what first grabbed my attention and lead me to their blog page. Austin and Kyra are from Brisbane, Australia and set out on an adventure of a life time February 2015. They have been documenting their journey through beautifully written articles and stunning photography. A blog you do not want to miss. Make sure you head over to waywardandweary.com and start following their adventures.
