SYDNEY: Northhead Lookout

As you may have read in my previous post-  Barrenjoey Headland, we recently decided we need to start exploring more of Sydney and showcase my city through the eyes of a local.

It was only fitting that i took jay to one of my favourite sunset spots in Sydney… North Head Lookout.

North Head is located in the suburb of Manly on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. The headland provides an amazing panorama view of the Northern Beaches and city skyline.

Knowing the sun was soon to be setting, we jumped in the car and drove up to North Head. Usually, we like to sit on the cliffs edge in another area of the national park, however, with time against us we walked to the closest look out and sat down to watched as the the sky was painted pink.

Another couple was there when we arrived, arm in arm, enjoying a picnic on the cliffs edge. cute. We quickly (and sneakily) took our travel shots and  spent the rest of the time  simply enjoying the beauty of our cities skyline.

There are many reasons that make me love calling Sydney home, and this place is one of them.

How to get there: You can access the headland by car or on foot by heading up Darley Road. Past the hospital, collage and quarantine station.

Cost:
It is free to enter North Head, however there are parking machines for those who are driving.

If you’re visiting North Head, make a detour down to Collins Flat beach.

Have you ever been to Sydney? Where was your favourite sunset spot?
